The following expectations apply to all A1 Tennis Junior Team Tennis participants, parents, coaches, and spectators.
Coaches:
- All eligible coaches must have successfully completed the USTA Safe Play program and background check.
- Coaching is permitted only from outside the fence during changeovers and is limited to 90 seconds.
- Coaching by parents during matches is not allowed.
- For Orange Ball divisions only, coaching by the designated team captain is allowed, provided the coach is USTA Safe Play certified.
Players:
- Players are responsible for making their own line calls and keeping score.
- Players should attempt to resolve scoring disputes on court before asking for assistance.
- If additional help is needed, only team coaches should become involved.
Captains:
- Home team captains are responsible for confirming court availability, reserving courts, and providing USTA-approved balls.
- Captains must ensure matches start on time and follow the designated match format.
- Match scores must be entered into TennisLink within 24 hours of match completion.
Parents & Spectators:
- Parents and spectators must remain off the court during matches.
- Coaching or directing players from the stands is prohibited.
- Parents and spectators should not confront opposing players or coaches before, during, or after matches.
- Any concerns should be communicated coach-to-coach.
